Wonderful Strawberry Waffles

Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
- 2 cups bisquick reduced-fat baking mix
- 1-1/3 cups low-fat milk
- 1 whole egg
- 2 tsp strawberry extract
- 1 ½ cups light whipped dessert topping
Instructions
- GROWN-UP PREP
- Put strawberries in food processor or blender and pulse until chopped into very small pieces (not pureed).
- Turn on waffle iron about 5 minutes before Cooking Time.
- COOKING TIME
- Measure Bisquick and put it in mixing bowl.
- Measure the milk and add it to the Bisquick.
- Crack the egg and add it to the Bisquick.
- Stir ingredients. Measure strawberry extract and add it to the mixture.
- Once batter is blended well, you can stir in the strawberry pieces.
- Coat waffle iron (top and bottom) lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Measure the amount of batter recommended by the manufacturer for that particular waffle iron and pour it onto the hot waffle iron. Bake until steaming stops. Repeat until all batter is used.
- Serve with dessert topping or whipped cream, if desired.
