Ingredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 whole green onions sliced
- 2 whole garlic clove minced
- ½ cup green pepper diced
- ½ cup red pepper diced
- 2 whole green chilies seeded and sliced
- 4 oz water chestnuts diced
- 6 oz five-spice tofu
- 6 whole chinese black mushroom rehydrated
- 1 cup diced cucumber
- 2 tbsp black bean paste
- 1 tsp rice wine or dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon red-bean paste
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
- 4 oz deep-fried gluten balls if desired
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp sesame oil to serve
Instructions
- In a wok, heat vegetable oil, add green onions and garlic, and stir fry 3 or 4 minutes until just beginning to color. Add bell pepper, chiles and water chestnuts; stir-fry 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients except sesame oil and cook 3 minutes.
- Serve sprinkled with sesame oil.
