Ingredients
- 1/2 lb boneless smoked trout diced
- 4- ounce jar or tin of red or black caviar
- 3 medium potatoes boiled and cubed
- 2 medium tomatoes sliced
- 1 cucumber sliced
- 1/2 head crisp lettuce
- 6 green onions chopped with half tops
- 6 black olives pitted
- 1 dill pickle chopped
- 2-2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Shred the lettuce, then mound it in a salad bowl, forming a crater in the center.
- Arrange the sliced tomatoes and cucumber along the sides of the mound.
- Gently mix the chopped smoked fish, potatoes, and dill pickle; put this mixture into the crater.
- Mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, and caviar, then spread over the salad.
- Mix the chopped onions and olives, along with a little salt and pepper, and scatter over the salad.
- Serve cold with bread. And vodka.
