Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 lb boneless smoked trout diced
  • 4- ounce jar or tin of red or black caviar
  • 3 medium potatoes boiled and cubed
  • 2 medium tomatoes sliced
  • 1 cucumber sliced
  • 1/2 head crisp lettuce
  • 6 green onions chopped with half tops
  • 6 black olives pitted
  • 1 dill pickle chopped
  • 2-2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions 

  • Shred the lettuce, then mound it in a salad bowl, forming a crater in the center.
  • Arrange the sliced tomatoes and cucumber along the sides of the mound.
  • Gently mix the chopped smoked fish, potatoes, and dill pickle; put this mixture into the crater.
  • Mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, and caviar, then spread over the salad.
  • Mix the chopped onions and olives, along with a little salt and pepper, and scatter over the salad.
  • Serve cold with bread. And vodka.
