Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup matzo meal
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 2 whole eggs
  • Kosher-for-Passover vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions 

  • Mix the matzah meal, salt, water, and eggs in a mixing bowl and beat well.
  • Put about 2 inches of oil in a frying pan. Heat until about 375 degrees. Drop the batter by heaping tablespoons into the oil and fry over a medium low heat a few minutes on each side. Drain and serve with hard-boiled eggs or sugar and cinnamon or maple syrup.
