Ingredients
  

  • Grease for baking dish
  • 2 cups uncooked potatoes cut in strips (about 2 1/2" x 1/2")
  • 1 cup carrots cut in strips
  • 1 6-1/2- ounce can chopped clams undrained
  • 1 medium onion peeled and sliced
  • 1 stick butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp dill seed or weed

Instructions 

  • Lightly grease a 2-quart baking casserole dish.
  • Place the potato strips in the bottom.
  • Next layer the carrots, followed by clams with juice, and finally the onion.
  • Melt the butter with seasonings and pour over casserole.
  • Bake at 350° covered, for 45 minutes.
  • After baking, you can sprinkle this dish with paprika and fresh parsley, if desired.
