Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup light cream or evaporated milk
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract or rum
- 1/2 cup chopped nutmeats
Instructions
- Combine, stir and heat in a double boiler until smooth the butter, brown sugar, and salt.
- Cool this slightly. Beat in, to a good spreading consistency: 2 cups, more or less, of powdered sugar.
- You may add vanilla or rum and nuts.
